TouchMind's Story

TouchMind was created in 2002 by Martin Demierre, an engineer, named Smad Sàrl at the time. The company started out as a software house.

Towards the end of 2003, Martin Demierre developped the ClientFidelity specifications, a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). This was submitted to two EPFL computer sciences engineers in order for them to study the project’s feasibility.

The project was considered viable and since the e-commerce crisis was coming to an end, M. Demierre launched ClientFidelity’s development in industrial mode. This product’s objective is to rise beyond obstacles to good communication between a web visitor and Internet sites.

Early 2006, Smad Sàrl changed names, legally becoming TouchMind S.A., thanks to a capital increase. The new entity broadens its offer with CRM tools and sales teams management from the Open Source world.

Today, TouchMind has reached maturity. A dynamic company with an abundant quantity of new commercial opportunity ideas. Its core business is to assist leading Swiss and foreign companies to get closer to their clients by improving their one-to-one relationships. TouchMind also offers consultancy and CRM integration tools.

TouchMind Milestones

  • February 2004: Jean-Philipe Egger, engineer joins the TouchMind team.
  • March 2004: Tiberiu Dondera, engineer becomes an associate.
  • April 2004: ClientFidelity is available in Beta Version.
  • July 2004: The Confederation agency for innovation (CTI) – a federal professional training office – admits TouchMind to the CTI Start-up program.
  • August 2004: TouchMind launches ClientFidelity’s server version on the market.
  • September 2004: TouchMind moves to the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) Scientific Park.
  • September 2004: TouchMind announces the launch of the ClientFidelity ASP version (Application Service Provider). Expansion to Bucarest, Roumania with three engineers.
  • October 2004: The CTI Start-up commission in Bern accepts TouchMind’s coaching.
  • December 2004: TouchMind has six full-time engineers and an e-marketing manager.
  • January 2005: The company launches a portal around the insurance theme: http://www.mybroker.ch in collaboration with Nakama Consulting.
  • September 2005: TouchMind is awarded the prestigious Technology Start-up Award.
  • January 2006: Launch of TouchMind France with several integrator partners.
  • September 2006: Subsidiary in Fribourg, directed by Roland Monney and TouchMind’s development abroad. TouchMind is now a team of 16 in Switzerland and 4 in Argentina.
  • Novembre 2006: TouchMind expands and professionalizes its management team with the arrival of Jean-Marc Wismer (ex. Lysis and Medtronic) for finances and Frédéric Roger (ex. LTV –Yellow Pages) as Business Developer Manager.
  • December 2006: TouchMind celebrates its fourth anniversary and reaches its first half-year break-even.
